Sex Matters is a UK human-rights charity whose mission is to promote clarity about sex in law, policy and language in order to protect everybody's rights. Pragmatic and non-partisan, it works for both women and men within a human-rights framework. It informs public debate through research and analysis, helps institutions find their way back to the law, and turns people's stories and experiences into usable evidence. Sex Matters also educates people and organisations about their rights and enables them to take action in their communities — from schools and swimming pools to employers and Parliament — so that it is easy and safe to speak about biology, freedom of belief is respected, and children are protected.
